How much learner interaction is required to achieve the training’s purpose?
- None—the training only needs to be read or spoken to create awareness
- Minimal behavior change requires the learner to think or work through simple interactions
- Strong behavior change requires the learner to think or work through complex interactions
- Reference—the training needs to be found only at the time the learner needs the knowledge or skill
Key questions: How large is the knowledge/skill gap (what exists vs. what is needed) AND how often will the learner use the training AFTER the training is done?
